Library Displays
We are currently in the process of putting together a special display to be used to highlight science-related media, especially on space and astronomy, at the library branches. A display unit would be placed at each of the branch libraries in the Childrens' area. The unit would be used to feature revolving displays highlighting various science topics, especially but not limited to space and astronomy.

We would like the display to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Has an eye-catching shape, such as rocket ship
  • Has compartments suitable to display books, tapes, globes, models, fliers from local science-related museums, and other items
  • Is child-proof and child-safe
  • Requires minimal effort to construct or modify, thus to be constructed of commercially available items
  • Available at reasonable cost
  • Occupies relatively small footprint, due to limited library space
  • Should be reusable, hopefully can be reconfigured to accomodate various needs
